NRF HOME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY READINESS TERMS
When purchasing NRF HOME, you are agreeing to the terms of our Physical Activity Readiness Terms.
If you are planning to take part in physical activity or an exercise class, then it is important that you are physically capable, fit and well.
Before beginning exercise classes, please ask yourself the following questions. If you answer yes to any of these questions, please consult a doctor before beginning a new physical activity routine.
- Has your doctor ever said you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by your doctor?
- Do you ever feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?
- Have you ever had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?
- Do you ever feel faint or have spells of dizziness?
- Do you have a joint problem that could be made worse by exercise?
- Have you ever been told that you have high blood pressure?
- Are you currently taking any medication which can cause side effects which may affect physical activity?
- Are you pregnant or have you had a baby in the last six months?
If you are unsure whether or not you should be participating in physical activity please consult your doctor before beginning any classes. Tell your doctor that classes are unsupervised and that your heart rate is likely to be elevated and all muscle groups will be used throughout the variety of classes available. Always follow your doctors advice.
If you answered NO to the above questions then you can be reasonably sure that you can start to become more physically active and take part in a suitable exercise programme but remember; begin slowly and build up gradually.
Please note: If your health changes so that subsequently you answer ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, please inform your doctor immediately and withdraw from your exercise programme if necessary. Delay becoming more active if you feel unwell because of a temporary illness such as a cold or flu – wait until you feel better.
The purpose of an exercise programme is to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
The possibility of certain unusual changes during or following the exercise sessions does exist. These changes could abnormalities in blood pressure or heart rate, ineffective heart function, fainting, muscle soreness, muscle strains, and possibly heart attack or cardiac arrest. The benefits obtained from an exercise programme may include a more efficient cardiovascular system, a decreased risk of heart disease and other chronic diseases, improved muscular and skeletal systems, and an increased quality of life.
When participating in NRF HOME, you agree that you recognise that all classes are unsupervised due to the platform used to complete the classes, and therefore the full responsibility is on you to work within your personal limitations, ensure you are in a safe exercise environment and stop as soon as you experience any unusual distress.
The responsibility is solely on the participant to monitor their own exercise routine and make changes where necessary.
